Getting started
- Register your camera on GRome's Camera page. GRome works with the RICOH GR IV.
- To import, open Backup, start the connection and approve the request to join the camera's Wi-Fi. You do not need to turn on Wi-Fi in another app first.
- Choose the photos you want and start importing. Keep GRome open until it finishes.
- When the import is complete, GRome turns the camera's Wi-Fi off and leaves the camera on. Other devices connected to the camera's Wi-Fi are disconnected.
The camera's Wi-Fi does not connect
- Make sure Bluetooth and Local Network are allowed for GRome in Settings.
- Keep the camera close and its battery charged.
- If you have joined the camera's network before in Settings, open Settings › Wi-Fi, tap the camera's network and choose Forget This Network, then try again from GRome.
- Stop the current session and start a new one. If GRome says an earlier camera operation has an unknown result, follow its instructions to check the camera before trying again.
Imported photos do not appear
- GRome needs permission to read photos to show your imports. If you chose to allow adding photos only, change it in Settings › Apps › GRome › Photos.
- GRome shows only the photos it imported on this device. A photo deleted in Photos, or one stored only in iCloud and not on the device, may not appear.
The import was interrupted
- Importing pauses if you leave GRome. Photos that finished are kept. Open GRome again to continue saving them.
- If there is not enough space, choose fewer photos or free up storage. Do not delete GRome's recovery files.
Recipes and firmware
- Recipes keep the authors and sources you enter. The preview is an approximation, not the camera's own processing.
- GRome checks Ricoh's website for firmware information only when you tap it. It does not download or install firmware.
